The birth of our Logo
It is always a crucial and exciting moment in the history of a company: the creation of the logo. So it was for Communauts π€©. We wanted one that reflects our core values, our mission and which was created in Uganda πΊπ¬. So here is how ours evolved:
Communauts wants to create opportunities for Ugandan people wherever possible. That is why we partnered with Makerere University School of Industrial and Fine Arts and its lecturer Raymond Nsereko. We announced a design contest for his students and thus offered them the first real-life design challenge. After they got our briefing the started to work on it, some in teams some alone. And then came the day of presentation and ceremony. We were excited to see so many different approaches, to experience the efforts and passion they put into that work and to meet this young energetic designers. They certainly all gained valuable experiences, and our certificate, which will help them in their professional lifes.
The winning design was drafted by a team of four: Egessa Dervin, Nakazibwe Caroline, Namisi David, Makumbi James. Thanks again, we love that logo so much. It reflects an African village, it reflects togetherness and the warmth of African culture. It fits so perfectly, it is Communauts!
Hope you guys are doing fine!
